Privacy Policy

What Dotco stores, and why.

Dotco only keeps what it needs to run the game. It never sells your data.

Last updated November 5, 2026.

  1. 1

    What we store about you

Your Discord user ID and display name. Your avatar picture is loaded to draw your cards and is kept in memory only, not in the database.

Your game progress: level, XP, skills, courses, career, rank, specialization, qualifications, achievements, reputation, rewards, missions and statistics.

Your game economy: cash, bank balance, every transaction in your history, businesses, staff and wages, shares, property, inventory, production, market listings and trades.

Your cosmetics, collectibles, equipped items, showcase and privacy settings.

  2. 2

    What we store about servers

The server ID and its Dotco settings: whether the game is on, game channels, language, market tax, milestone channel and limit, and server ranking choices. We also note who saved the settings last and when.

  3. 3

    Premium and payments

If you buy Premium, Stripe collects your card details and billing info on its own checkout page. Dotco never sees or stores your card number.

Dotco stores your Discord user ID, whether you bought Player or Server Premium, the server ID and name you picked, your plan, the price and currency, the start and end dates, its status, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Stripe also sends Dotco a notice each time a payment, renewal, cancellation, refund or dispute happens, and Dotco keeps a record of it.

Each new or changed subscription is posted in a private staff channel in the Dotco support server, with your username, user ID, server, plan, price, dates and Stripe IDs, so staff can fix payment problems. Only Dotco staff can see that channel.

Dotco staff can look up a subscription by username, user ID, server name or server ID with a private command that only the owner can use.

  4. 4

    Accepting the terms

The first time you use Dotco, and again if the terms change, you are asked to accept the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. When you press I accept, Dotco saves a record of it: the time, your Discord user ID, username and display name, when your Discord account was made, your Discord language, the server name and ID, its owner ID and member count, the channel name and ID, the command you used, which version of the terms you accepted and whether you were a new player.

The same record is posted in a private staff channel in the Dotco support server. Only Dotco staff can see it. It is kept as proof of your agreement, even if you delete your Dotco data.

  5. 5

    What we don’t store

Dotco doesn’t read or keep your messages. It only acts on the commands, buttons and forms you use with it. We don’t collect your email, IP address or card details.

  6. 6

    Who can see your data

With a Public profile, other players can see your profile. Limited and Private profiles show less, and you choose which sections are visible.

If you hide your net worth, it shows as $X,XXX.xx everywhere, including to you on shared cards, and you appear as “Anonymous player” on leaderboards.

Payments you send, crew invites, job offers and milestone cards are posted in the channel. You can turn off milestone announcements about you.

Server rankings use anonymous totals. Players who hide their net worth don’t count toward them.

  7. 7

    How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you play. Transaction records can’t be edited, so they stay with your profile until your data is deleted. Premium payment records are kept even after you stop playing, because they may be needed for taxes, refunds and disputes.

  8. 8

    Deleting your data

To delete your Dotco data, ask on the Dotco Discord server. We will remove your profile, money, items and history. This can’t be undone.

  9. 9

    Services we use

Dotco runs on Discord and keeps its data with a secure hosting provider. Premium payments go through Stripe, which keeps your card and billing details. These services handle data under their own privacy policies. This website has no tracking and no ads.

  10. 10

    Signing in on the website

Signing in to the My Dotco dashboard is optional. Discord tells us your user ID, username, avatar and the list of servers you’re in, and nothing else. We don’t see your email or messages. The server list is only used to show the servers you can manage, and it isn’t saved.

If you have the Manage Server permission in a server, you can change its Dotco settings on the website. Dotco checks that you still have that permission before it saves anything.

On the Premium page, the website uses your sign-in to start a Stripe checkout for your account, to list servers you manage that have Dotco, and to open Stripe’s billing page for your own subscription.

Your sign-in is kept in a cookie on your device for 7 days, and only lets you see your own game. Signing out deletes it. The website shows your game data. It only changes it when you press a button there, like starting or collecting a course or job, and Dotco then follows the same rules as in Discord.

    Children

You need to be old enough to use Discord in your country to play Dotco.

    Changes and contact

We will update this page if anything changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Ask on the Dotco Discord server. See also the Terms of Service.
